Writer Francisco Ortega hosts reading club for students in Pichidegua
Students at the Enrique Serrano School in Pichidegua participated in a reading club activity featuring national writer Francisco Ortega. The event focused on Chilean myths and legends, specifically centered around Ortega’s book, ‘Leyendas chilenas para niños y niñas’.
The initiative is part of the National Plan for Reading, Writing, and Orality led by the Regional Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage of the O’Higgins Region. The program aims to foster reading habits and build reading communities through participatory encounters between authors and readers. Future sessions are scheduled for various communes, including Lolol, Palmilla, Nancagua, San Fernando, Peumo, and Graneros, featuring authors such as Gabriel León and Fabián Rivas.
