Written In Munny leads Freedman stable in Goulburn maiden race

An all‑metropolitan field contested the opening maiden at Goulburn on Monday, marking the start of the new three‑year‑old season. The Freedman colt Written In Munny, a son of Written Tycoon, opened as the $2.70 favourite after a double win at Rosehill. He was backed ahead of Stronghold ($4.40) and debutants Savvy Diamond and Visna, both around $6.50.

Canberra trainer Luke Pepper entered only one runner, the five‑year‑old mare The Eyes Have It, attempting back‑to‑back wins in a Class 3 BM 66 Handicap over 1200 m. The mare, a recent Goulburn winner, was priced at $6.50. Other notable entries included Dancer’s Delight, Midnight Moose and a three‑horse Canberra contingent in the closing BM 58 Handicap.
