Wrocław Airport completes 464 million PLN expansion

Wrocław Airport has completed a major operational infrastructure expansion worth over 464 million PLN, finishing the project two months ahead of its December 2026 deadline. The investment has effectively doubled the airport's operational surface area.

The expansion includes a new apron for 14 aircraft, a 2.5 km parallel taxiway, a rapid exit taxiway, and a new de-icing apron. The works covered 35 hectares and more than 5 km of taxiways, involving the installation of 265 km of energy and telecommunications cables, over 1,600 navigation lights, and 5 km of water supply networks.

Airport President Karol Przywara noted that the scale of the project is comparable to building a medium-sized airport from scratch. The infrastructure is designed to support both growing civil and military aviation traffic and to facilitate the future expansion of flight connections.
