Wrocław Airport evacuated due to unattended luggage
Wrocław Airport was evacuated on Wednesday, October 7, after Border Guard officers discovered unattended luggage within the terminal. The discovery triggered immediate security protocols, involving the deployment of pyrotechnicians, police, and firefighters to assess potential threats.
The security response caused temporary disruptions, including the suspension of check-in and boarding processes, as well as flight delays. Local public transport was also affected, with bus lines 106 and 129 being rerouted to the Rdestowa stop to facilitate emergency operations.
Following a thorough inspection of the luggage and the completion of all safety procedures, authorities determined there was no ongoing threat. Normal airport operations and passenger traffic have since resumed.
