Wrocław Airport to modernize security with new CT scanners

Wrocław Airport is launching a major infrastructure modernization phase to enhance passenger security and throughput. Starting in February 2027, the airport will install advanced CT scanners and an ATRS system, costing approximately 30 million PLN.

This technology will allow passengers to keep electronics in their carry-on luggage and permit liquids in containers of up to two liters during security checks. The upgrade aims to increase security zone capacity by at least 40 percent, raising the hourly throughput from 1,400 to over 2,000 passengers.
