Wrocław court rules dental hygiene costs are justified in disability compensation
The District Court in Wrocław has ruled that the cost of dental treatment and oral hygiene is a justified expense in compensation claims for individuals with severe disabilities resulting from perinatal errors.
The court included the purchase of a sonic toothbrush as a legitimate health-related expense for a man suffering from severe neurological damage, including cerebral palsy and quadriplegia, caused by complications during birth. The ruling noted that for patients with such disabilities, dental care—including procedures performed under general anesthesia—is a necessary component of their health needs and should be factored into the assessment of damages and disability benefits.
