Wrocław hosts International Performance Art Festival

The International Performance Art Festival, titled 'Nowe Spojrzenia' (New Perspectives), will take place in Wrocław, Poland, from November 2 to 7. The event explores both the history and contemporary forms of performance art through various mediums, including film, sound, and poetry.

Activities are distributed across four locations: the Grotowski Institute Laboratory Theatre Hall, Entropia Gallery, Barbara of the Wrocław Institute of Culture, and Studio Na Grobli. While admission is free, attendees must register and reserve a seat in advance due to limited capacity. Some performances contain nudity and are restricted to adults.

The program features artists such as Ewa Zarzycka, Anna Zaradny, Joanna Pawlik, Olja Grubić, and Urška Brodar, alongside a special meeting with Eileen Myles to promote the first Polish edition of her poetry. Participants and artists are expected from nine countries, including Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, and the United States.
