Wrocław projected as a leader in European economic growth

Wrocław is projected to become one of Europe's fastest-growing large cities. According to forecasts by Oxford Economics, the city's economy is expected to grow by an average of more than 3 percent annually between 2026 and 2030.

Local officials attribute this growth to a combination of a strong workforce, high-quality universities, and expanding technological industries. The city has previously been ranked third in Europe for growth rates among large cities in a 2025 analysis.

The city is highly rated for tourism, culture, and academia. Notably, its culinary reputation is rising, with increased awareness of Michelin recognition contributing to its image as a gastronomic destination. Among respondents considering a move, Wrocław is the most frequently considered city, ahead of Krakow and Gdansk.
