Wrocław roadside religious figure vandalized for the second time

A religious figure of Christ located on a roadside cross in the Stabłowice district of Wrocław has been vandalized for the second time in recent weeks. The incident occurred around 4:00 AM at the intersection of Kosmonautów and Trójkątna streets.

Local residents had previously organized a fundraiser to replace a figure that was destroyed in August. Despite these efforts, an unknown man—described by witnesses as approximately 50 years old—returned to demolish the new replacement. One resident attempted to chase the perpetrator, but the individual managed to escape.

Archbishop Józef Kupny of Wrocław responded to the incident, urging the community to respond to evil with goodness rather than division. Police have been notified, have secured evidence at the scene, and are requesting that anyone with local surveillance footage from the early morning hours contact the authorities to assist in identifying the suspect.
