Wrocław to install 23-meter Christmas tree with walk-through tunnel

Wrocław is preparing a unique holiday installation for its Market Square (Rynek). A new 23-meter-tall Christmas tree, measuring 12.5 meters in diameter, will feature a special tunnel allowing visitors to walk through its illuminated interior.

The structure is designed to resemble a natural spruce and will be decorated with gold and silver ornaments, thousands of LED lights in warm and cool white, and a two-meter-tall star at the top. For safety reasons, the interior entrance will be closed at night.

The contract for the rental, transport, assembly, and technical supervision of the decorations was awarded to the company Elektrotim for a total of 648,000 PLN gross. Installation is expected to be completed by the end of November. Additionally, the city is adjusting its lighting strategy to protect new trees in the Market Square and Solny Square by mounting decorations directly onto light poles rather than suspending them between them.
