Wrtn Technologies to limit youth AI usage and spending on Crack platform

Wrtn Technologies has announced a new youth protection policy for its AI entertainment platform, Crack, aimed at preventing excessive AI interaction and unregulated spending among minors. The company plans to implement these measures by early 2027.

Under the proposed policy, teenage users will be limited to a base usage time of three hours per day. To exceed this limit, users must obtain parental authentication and consent. Additionally, a monthly spending cap of 100,000 KRW will be applied; any payments exceeding this amount will also require parental approval.

Beyond usage and payment limits, Wrtn intends to enhance its safety technology by implementing additional conversation filters and strengthening system prompts to prevent inappropriate AI responses. The company is also reviewing its age verification methods to ensure more accurate identification of minors. These technical and systemic updates are expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
