Würzburg faces shortage of yellow recycling bags

Würzburg is currently experiencing a shortage of 'Gelbe Säcke' (yellow bags) at standard distribution points due to increased demand during the first nine months of the year. The company responsible for distribution and collection, Knettenbrech und Gurdulic, is currently unable to deliver new bags to the city.

As a temporary measure, residents are permitted to use neutral bags for collection on pickup days. Regular availability of yellow bags at standard locations is expected to resume by mid-October. When available, these bags are provided as a voluntary municipal service at the town hall citizen's office and the environmental station.
