Würzburg hosts Katholikentag religious festival

The Katholikentag religious festival took place in Würzburg, centered around the theme ‘Have courage, stand up!’. The event featured various spiritual and musical gatherings, including a formal opening ceremony at Residenzplatz and musical accompaniment for readings by Pater Anselm Grün and Pater Wolfgang Sigler.

Other highlights included an inclusive service at Stift Haugun and a concert titled ‘So begins hope’ at the Hochschule für Musik. The festival also incorporated accessible formats, such as a Biblical Dialogue in easy language, to foster community engagement and spiritual reflection.
