German police arrest suspects in robbery series and fraud schemes
German police have conducted several operations targeting organized crime and fraud. In Hannover, authorities arrested ten suspects, including nine men and one woman aged 17 to 26, in connection with a serious robbery series. The group is accused of luring victims into apartments under false pretenses between October 2025 and May 2026, where they were threatened with knives and tied up to steal cash, jewelry, and cryptocurrency.
In separate incidents involving impersonation scams, police in Hannover-Mühlenberg arrested two young men, aged 19 and 20, after they attempted to collect cash from a 92-year-old man. The victim had been pressured via phone by individuals posing as police officers. Similarly, in Bad Orb, a 16-year-old was detained for allegedly acting as a collector in a similar scheme targeting a senior citizen through fraudulent claims of legal authority.
