WSOP expands presence in Canada with major Quebec and Ontario events
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is expanding its presence in Canada through multiple major events. In Quebec, the WSOP Super Circuit Canada 2026 is currently underway at Playground, located near Montreal. Running from August 26 to September 12, the festival features C$14 million in guaranteed prize money and includes high-profile players such as Hall of Famers Daniel Negreanu and Michael Mizrachi.
Simultaneously, GGPoker is launching a WSOP Online bracelet series specifically for residents of Ontario. Scheduled to run from September 13 through October 6, the series includes eight bracelet events with total guarantees of C$2,950,000. The lineup is headlined by a C$1,000 Main Event with a C$1 million guarantee.
In online play, Lex Veldhuis recently reached the final table of the $1,500 Super Turbo PLO during the WSOP Online festival on GGPoker, marking his first WSOP final table in 17 years.
