WTA Dubrovnik Open organizers donate ticket revenue to wheelchair tennis club
Organizers of the inaugural WTA Dubrovnik Open, held in March, have donated eight thousand euros in ticket revenue to the Dubrovnik Tennis Club for Persons with Disabilities.
The funds are designated to support the development of wheelchair tennis programs, ensuring training continuity and the expansion of services for athletes. Feliks Lukas, director of the WTA Dubrovnik Open, stated that the donation aims to support inclusion in practice and create conditions where individuals can pursue sporting goals regardless of their physical abilities.
Dubrovnik Mayor Mato Franković noted that the donation contributes to sports development and equal opportunities within the community. The tennis club was founded by Ante Kolunđija, a prominent Croatian wheelchair tennis player and multiple national champion.
