WTB unveils new aerodynamic gravel tire collection

WTB has launched a new family of high-volume gravel tires featuring patent-pending aerodynamic technology. Developed in partnership with Stromm Cycles, the collection aims to reduce aerodynamic drag while maintaining predictable grip and rolling efficiency across various terrains.

The lineup consists of three specific models, each optimized for a particular width and use case:

• Byway RS 50 (620g): Designed for maximum rolling efficiency on hardpack gravel, pavement, and race courses. • Course 52 (635g): A versatile option providing a balance between speed and all-terrain capability. • Macro 54 (640g): The highest-volume tire, featuring aggressive tread for loose, rocky, and technical surfaces.

The series utilizes a streamlined approach by linking specific tread patterns to specific widths, which WTB states allows for more effective aerodynamic optimization. The tires are engineered to work with modern wide gravel rims ranging from 25mm to 32mm internal width.
