WTTC Global Summit 2026 to be held in Valletta, Malta
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced that its 26th Global Summit will be held in Valletta, Malta, from October 7–9, 2026. The event, hosted at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, will operate under the theme ‘FUTU[RE]SET – Shaping the Future of Travel & Tourism’.
Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been confirmed as a headline speaker. He will join more than 1,000 delegates from over 100 countries, including more than 200 CEOs and senior executives from the travel and tourism sectors, as well as various government leaders.
The summit aims to address critical industry issues such as the impact of geopolitical changes, the transformative potential of artificial intelligence, and the future of aviation and connectivity. Discussions will focus on how innovation, investment, and leadership can foster a more resilient and sustainable industry. This follows recent data indicating that global travel and tourism investment exceeded $1 trillion in 2025, contributing a record $11.6 trillion to world GDP.
