WTTC Global Summit to convene 200+ travel CEOs in Malta

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) will host its 26th Global Summit in Valletta, Malta, from October 7–9, 2026. The event, themed ‘FUTU[RE]SET: Shaping the Future of Travel & Tourism’, aims to address industry transformation with a focus on technology and artificial intelligence.

More than 200 CEOs and senior executives from sectors including hospitality, aviation, cruise, and travel technology are expected to attend. Confirmed leaders include Christopher J. Nassetta of Hilton, Elie Maalouf of IHG Hotels & Resorts, Alejandro Reynal of Four Seasons, Tony Fernandes of Capital A, Jane Sun of Trip.com Group, and Pierfrancesco Vago of MSC Group. Other major organizations expected include American Express Travel, Accor, Marriott International, Expedia Group, and JPMorganChase.

The summit serves as a platform for private sector leaders, governments, and international organizations to discuss sustainable growth and industry resilience. For Malta, the gathering represents a significant opportunity to showcase its tourism infrastructure and investment potential to global decision-makers.
