Malta receives $2 billion tourism investment commitment

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced a collective commitment of $2 billion in new investment for Malta. The announcement, made during the WTTC Global Summit in Valletta, reflects confidence in the nation's leadership and its strategy for sustainable sector growth.

The investment is intended to enhance infrastructure, accommodation, connectivity, and visitor experiences. This comes as tourism is projected to contribute $4.9 billion to Malta’s economy by 2026, accounting for approximately 16.9% of the country's GDP and supporting over one in five jobs.
