Wuppertal police respond to mass disturbance in Vohwinkel

A confrontation in the Vohwinkel district of Wuppertal escalated into a large-scale public disturbance involving approximately 100 people on a Sunday evening. The incident began when four men, aged 24, 34, 35, and 39, allegedly harassed a 27-year-old pregnant woman by honking their horns while she was attempting to park her car.

When the woman confronted the men, the situation turned physical, and she was reportedly pushed to the ground. Local residents and relatives intervened, leading to a mass gathering and verbal altercations. Upon arrival, police encountered shouting and rowdy behavior. During the intervention, a 28-year-old man allegedly struck a police officer in the chest, causing minor injuries; the suspect was taken into custody.

Four additional men were also detained, and several individuals were issued formal orders to leave the area. The pregnant woman was taken to a clinic as a precaution but was later discharged without injury.
