Wurzach Kurhaus subsidy proposal and Neuhausen council award underscore German local governance

Dr. Wolfgang Hübner, a member of the Wurzach municipal council, proposed that the city provide a monthly €3,000 subsidy to the Kurhaus‑Genossenschaft to offset the operating deficit of the town hall’s hall, arguing that such support is appropriate for public facilities that cannot cover costs fully.

In the neighbouring municipality of Neuhausen, Mayor Sabine Wagner honored long‑time council member Heinz Gerber with the Baden‑Württemberg municipal‑day certificate, recognizing his 20 years of voluntary service on the council and his ongoing contributions since his first election in 1984.
