Wuxia-inspired action games Phantom Blade Zero and Burning Sword: Death Sun announced

New details have emerged regarding two upcoming wuxia-themed action games. S-Game’s Phantom Blade Zero, an Unreal Engine 5 title, has released its final pre-release trailer. The game follows a warrior named Soul in a 'Kungfupunk' setting, blending classic martial arts storytelling with advanced technology. While the game is entering its final stages of development, it has been confirmed that it will not be released on physical disc this year.

Separately, Nomadic Games announced that Burning Sword: Death Sun will enter Steam Early Access on November 17, 2026. Developed by the Bangkok-based studio, the hack-and-slash adventure follows Zhang Yixian on a quest for revenge. The Early Access version will feature five handcrafted stages and several boss encounters, with plans to release new story chapters every eight weeks.
