Wuyang-Honda unveils NWZ150 hybrid scooter
Wuyang-Honda has unveiled the NWZ150, a new 150cc scooter model showcased at the Chongqing Motorcycle Exhibition. The lineup includes both a traditional gasoline version and a mild hybrid variant.
The hybrid model features a 48-volt architecture with a 1.8 kW electric motor designed to assist the 149.7cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder eW15 engine. This electric boost is intended to improve acceleration during high-load situations, such as starting from a standstill. The hybrid version is reported to reach 0 to 60 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
Designed with a maxi-scooter aesthetic similar to the Honda Forza, the NWZ150 features angular bodywork and a quad-lens LED headlight system. The standard gasoline model is equipped with dual-channel ABS and traction control (TCS). The vehicle has an 8.2-liter fuel tank, providing an estimated range of 350 km, and utilizes 14-inch front and 13-inch rear wheels.
