TKO adjusts WWE compensation and explores Disney partnership
TKO Group Holdings is implementing a revised compensation structure for WWE and UFC talent following the conclusion of several major media rights deals with platforms including ESPN, Netflix, and Paramount+. TKO COO Mark Shapiro noted that these adjustments are already integrated into the company’s financial planning and aim to support long-term growth and talent development through the NXT pipeline.
Separately, reports indicate that WWE and Disney are in discussions regarding a potential partnership aimed at 2027. While no official agreement has been announced, discussions reportedly involve expanding the brand's reach to family audiences. Potential collaborations include WWE talent appearing in Disney+ content, hosting events at Disney properties such as the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida, and exploring themed experiences on Disney Cruise Line vessels.
