WWE announces Chelsea Green vs. Roxanne Perez for Women’s Championship
WWE has officially scheduled a WWE Women’s Championship match between champion Chelsea Green and Roxanne Perez for the October 23 episode of SmackDown. The match follows a non-title victory by Perez over Green on the October 12 episode of RAW, a contest where Liv Morgan provided a distraction that aided Perez.
To finalize the championship bout, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis coordinated approval from WWE management. Both competitors have agreed to the match.
The outcome carries implications for the upcoming Crown Jewel event on November 7. Green is currently slated for a Champion vs. Champion match against Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan; however, a loss to Perez could alter the lineup for that event, potentially resulting in Morgan facing Perez instead.
