WWE Board Depositions Show Directors Knew of Vince McMahon Abuse Allegations

A pending settlement has ended the shareholder lawsuit over WWE’s TKO merger, but depositions taken before the trial reveal that board members were aware of former chairman Vince McMahon’s alleged sexual misconduct. Former board member Michelle McKenna testified that she believed McMahon should not return to the board and confirmed that the matter involved sexual abuse and trafficking, not merely an affair.

Board member Jeffrey Speed disclosed graphic text messages McMahon sent to former paralegal Janel Grant and wrestler Brock Lesnar. Grant, who received a $3 million settlement, is now pursuing her lawsuit against McMahon and WWE in private arbitration after a joint motion by the parties in June.
