WWE considers reviving Sin Cara character with new performer

WWE is reportedly exploring the possibility of reviving the Sin Cara character, with early pitches suggesting the role be given to a new wrestler. According to reports from Wrestling Observer and PWInsider Elite, the idea is currently in the discussion stage within the creative team, and no official timeline or specific performer has been confirmed.

The Sin Cara persona first appeared in WWE in 2011, originally portrayed by Místico. The character's history included a storyline split between Sin Cara Azul and Sin Cara Negro, culminating in a mask vs. mask match in Mexico City. Following Místico's departure in 2014, the role was taken over by Hunico until his release in 2019.

While rumors have circulated regarding potential candidates such as Myzteziz Jr. or Dralístico, WWE officials have not commented publicly on these proposals. If the project moves forward, the company may use limited television exposure to gauge audience interest in the brand recognition associated with the name.
