WWE content sees high engagement on Netflix
Netflix reported that the August 3, 2026, episode of WWE Raw reached 2.6 million viewers worldwide, totaling 5.4 million hours watched throughout the week. This figure surpasses the previous week's audience of 2.4 million. The program appeared in the top 10 most-watched shows in several countries, including Trinidad and Tobago, the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, the United Kingdom, and India.
Separately, the Netflix docuseries ‘WWE: Unreal’ has sparked debate among professional wrestling fans. While the series has been well-received by the general public, some dedicated fans criticize the show for exposing the behind-the-scenes mechanics of the industry. WWE talent Maxxine Dupri defended the project, stating that the series provides a humanizing look at the business and noting that viewers have the choice to skip content they do not enjoy. The third season of the docuseries, which focused on the retirement of John Cena, premiered on July 21.
