Max Caster announces indefinite wrestling hiatus and therapy
Professional wrestler Max Caster has announced an indefinite hiatus from the ring to focus on his personal well-being and seek therapy. The announcement follows his controversial departure from TNA Wrestling.
Caster’s brief tenure with TNA ended after his debut at the Bound for Glory event on October 11. During his entrance rap, he made a reference to missile attacks at an airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. TNA Wrestling subsequently terminated his appearance-based contract, stating that making light of violent attacks was unacceptable. Reports indicate that the specific line was unscripted and not approved by management.
Addressing fans at an Awesome Championship Wrestling event in Poughkeepsie, New York, Caster expressed regret for disappointing supporters. He stated, “I’m gonna go home, I’m gonna go to therapy, I’m gonna get it right so that the next time I’m in the ring it feels like I’m at home.”
While some speculation suggested influence from other organizations, reports clarify that TNA President Carlos Silva made the decision independently. Former wrestler Jeff Jarrett commented on the incident, noting that while Caster is a talented individual, the lack of foresight regarding the controversial content led to significant consequences.
