WWE NXT Great American Bash draws 394,000 viewers on The CW

The debut premium live NXT event, the Great American Bash, aired on Sunday on The CW in a three‑hour slot starting at 7 p.m. Eastern. It recorded 394,000 viewers and a 0.07 rating in the 18‑49 demographic, competing directly with the pre‑show and early hours of AEW × NJPW’s Forbidden Door PPV, as well as TNA’s Slammiversary, World Cup matches, the Boston Red Sox‑New York Yankees game on NBC/Peacock, and a rain‑delayed PGA tournament on NBC.

By comparison, recent Tuesday NXT broadcasts from April 14 to June 16 averaged 563,000 viewers and a 0.08 demo rating, while the preceding “go‑home” show attracted 668,000 viewers with a 0.11 rating. The next NXT premium special, Heatwave, is scheduled for August at 3 p.m. Eastern and will face AEW’s All In PPV.
