WWE NXT Great American Bash set for June 28 on CW Network
WWE announced that its NXT brand will revive the Great American Bash on Sunday, June 28, with a special start time of 7 PM ET. The event will air on the CW Network, marking the first NXT live special on that channel after the end of the Peacock deal. The announcement was delivered by senior vice‑president Shawn Michaels, who said, “Hello, boys and girls. Now I know everybody’s used to seeing me these days … when is the first PLE on the CW Network? … June 28th, CW Network and NXT are going to bring you the Great American Bash.”
The show will run head‑to‑head with AEW × NJPW’s Forbidden Door pay‑per‑view and TNA’s Slammiversary, both scheduled for the same night. While the location of the Great American Bash has not yet been disclosed, the timing ensures it will not clash with the other major wrestling events, giving fans multiple marquee shows on June 28.
The announcement also highlighted a regular NXT episode on Tuesday nights on the CW, including a title defense by Tony D’Angelo against Cam Hendricks later that evening.
