WWE NXT schedules Great American Bash on June 28 amid clash with AEW, TNA and its own live event
WWE announced that NXT will present its next Premium Live Event, the Great American Bash, on June 28 at 7 p.m. ET on The CW. The broadcast will occur directly opposite AEW’s Forbidden Door pay‑per‑view and TNA’s Slammiversary, and follows WWE’s Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia the day before. Analyst Dave Meltzer said the counter‑programming is questionable, noting that similar attempts in 2025 hurt WWE’s ratings and could also damage TNA’s audience.
Earlier in the month, on June 5, NXT held a live event at the Tom Fellows Community Center in Davenport, Florida. Highlights included Lola Vice retaining the Women’s Title over Nikkita Lyons, the Vanity Project keeping the Tag Team Titles, and Tony D’Angelo defending the NXT Championship. The event was streamed on Netflix and aired on The CW, part of WWE’s broader rollout of its programming across multiple platforms.
