WWE reportedly changed Money in the Bank winners from Perez and Breakker

Reports indicate that WWE altered its original creative plans for the Money in the Bank 2026 event held in New Orleans. While Tiffany Stratton and Penta ultimately secured the women’s and men’s briefcases, respectively, it is believed that Roxanne Perez and Bron Breakker were the initial intended winners.

For Perez, the change in direction is reportedly part of a long-term strategy to establish her as a major babyface. Rather than winning the briefcase, the plan involves her pursuing the Women’s World Championship to build fan sympathy and momentum heading into the WrestleMania season.

Following the event, Penta’s victory has seen high demand for merchandise, with custom briefcase replicas selling out quickly in the WWE Shop. Meanwhile, Perez has continued to gain momentum on RAW, recently pinning Women’s Champion Chelsea Green.
