WWE reverts Raquel Rodriguez's championship belt to standard design

WWE has reverted the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to its standard design following the recent title win by Raquel Rodriguez. After Rodriguez defeated Sol Ruca on the July 27 episode of Monday Night RAW to secure her first major singles championship, she briefly introduced a customized belt featuring barbed wire accents.

Following fan criticism regarding the custom presentation, WWE replaced the barbed wire version with the standard championship belt during the August 11 episode of RAW. During this broadcast, Rodriguez teamed with Roxanne Perez in a tag team match against Sol Ruca and IYO SKY. The match resulted in a loss for Rodriguez and Perez after Sol Ruca secured a pinfall victory over Perez.

Rodriguez had previously shared social media content showcasing new side plates for her championship, but the company's decision to return to the classic design suggests the custom version was a temporary feature.
