WWE schedules WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, adds U.S. fan events as AEW eyes rival show
WWE will hold WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the first time the flagship event is staged outside North America. To retain a strong presence in the United States, WWE plans official watch parties and live events in major cities—including New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Orlando—featuring NXT Stand & Deliver, AAA Eternal Glory and a show at the Infosys Theater in Madison Square Garden.
AEW President Tony Khan has reportedly discussed staging a competing event in New York during WrestleMania weekend, according to sources cited by Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio program. WWE has not yet announced the exact dates for the Riyadh show, with two possible weekends still under consideration.
