WWE signs Necro Butcher to Legends deal for video games

WWE has signed deathmatch icon Necro Butcher to a Legends deal, a move reportedly intended to facilitate his inclusion in future WWE 2K video games. Although Butcher never competed for WWE or its affiliates during his career, the agreement aims to bolster the digital roster following the positive fan reception to the inclusion of New Jack in WWE 2K26.

WWE President Nick Khan reportedly pushed for the signing due to Butcher’s hardcore reputation. The deal is not expected to involve Butcher wrestling for the promotion. The 53-year-old veteran is well known for his work in the American independent circuit, including promotions such as ROH and CZW.
