WWE stars Layla and Cody Rhodes discuss retirement and future plans

Former WWE Divas Champion Layla has confirmed she will not return to in-ring competition. In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the 49-year-old stated that she has no desire to wrestle again, noting that she has embraced a private life since her retirement in 2015. While she is not returning to the ring, she has re-entered the public eye through her own podcast and expressed admiration for the current state of women's wrestling, specifically praising Charlotte Flair.

Separately, WWE star Cody Rhodes expressed his intention to continue his wrestling career for several more years. Speaking on the podcast ‘What Do You Want to Talk About?’, Rhodes mentioned his goal is to remain active until Brodie Lee Jr., the son of the late wrestler Brodie Lee, is old enough to compete. Rhodes noted that he hopes to be able to work with the young athlete when he is ready for a match.
