WWE faces weak ticket sales for SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis

WWE's two‑night SummerSlam 2026 is set for August 1‑2 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The venue can hold roughly 66,200 fans, expandable to about 72,000. Ticketing data shows only 22,069 tickets sold for night 1 and 23,809 for night 2, well below the stadium's capacity.

Industry reports say the slow sales have been a concern within WWE for several weeks. An insider quoted by WrestleVotes noted, "The SummerSlam ticket sale story, or lack thereof, has been a hot topic in Stamford over the past month or so." WWE is positioning SummerSlam as its flagship U.S. premium live event after WrestleMania moves to Saudi Arabia next year. Executives of parent company TKO Group Holdings, specifically President Mark Shapiro and CEO Ari Emanuel, retain authority to intervene in WWE's creative direction.

Analysts suggest WWE may need to lower ticket prices or add more high‑profile matches to boost attendance. The company has also partnered with Joe Hand Promotions to stream the event to bars and restaurants, expanding its reach beyond the arena. In contrast, AEW's All In London show later in August is reporting stronger ticket movement after discount promotions.
