R-Truth provides injury update after SmackDown match stoppage

WWE veteran R-Truth has provided an update following a legitimate injury during his match against Damian Priest on the October 16 episode of SmackDown. The contest was abruptly stopped after Truth landed awkwardly following a missile dropkick from the top rope. The referee signaled for a stoppage, awarding the victory to Priest.

Reports indicate that Damian Priest assisted in managing the situation by communicating with the referee to end the match quickly while maintaining his character. Following the incident, R-Truth shared a photo on social media of himself at a medical facility near an MRI machine to reassure fans. He stated, “I AM OK, Thank you ALL for your support, concerns and get well wishes.”

While Truth has expressed that he is doing well, he has not disclosed the specific nature of the injury or a timeline for his return. He also used the moment to humorously continue his ongoing rivalry with Priest, jokingly claiming that Priest “tried to kill me.” Further medical evaluation was expected to take place the week following the incident.
