The injury occurred during a title defense against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy. Due to her absence, Chelsea Green won a ladder match at SummerSlam to become the Interim Women’s Champion.

Chelsea Green has identified Ripley as her dream opponent, suggesting a championship unification match once Ripley is medically cleared to return. Green also discussed the significance of working on WWE television alongside her husband, Matt Cardona, noting that their shared personal lives and professional careers made their on-screen pairing feel inevitable.

Regarding speculation about her return timeline, Ripley recently addressed social media comments, clarifying that her engagement with recent promotional posts was due to her friendship with IYO SKY rather than a specific return date.
