WWF Italy launches marine photography contest and teacher training program
WWF Italy announced the seventh edition of the “ReMaRe – Dal coralligeno fino alle praterie di Posidonia oceanica” photography contest, focusing on the southern Puglia seabed, Posidonia meadows and coral habitats. The competition invites divers, photographers and sea‑enthusiasts to submit images that highlight these vulnerable Mediterranean ecosystems, with selected photos to be featured on WWF channels and used to promote the ReMaRe marine‑coastal recovery project.
In parallel, WWF AMP Miramare will host a free four‑day workshop for primary and secondary teachers from 7 to 10 September. Titled “SGUARDI SUL TERRITORIO – Esperienze e strumenti per la scuola”, the program includes field visits to Miramare, the marine biodiversity area, San Giovanni di Duino, and the Santa Croce Fishing Museum, offering practical lessons on marine conservation, UNESCO reserve heritage and sustainable education, in collaboration with regional authorities and research institutes.
