Wyatt McCubbin releases debut album ‘650’
Nashville songwriter Wyatt McCubbin has released his debut 10-song album, titled ‘650’, through Dave Cobb’s Lucille Records/MCA. Produced by Cobb and recorded live to tape at Thunderbolt Studios in Savannah, Georgia, the project draws on McCubbin’s Ohio upbringing and his connection to WSM’s 650 AM signal.
The album features personal themes, including songs written for his children and harmony vocals provided by his wife, Holly. Notable tracks include ‘Breaker Breaker’, ‘Andy Griffith’, and ‘Whiskey Colored Crayon’, which McCubbin co-wrote with Lainey Wilson. Marty Stuart also co-wrote the track ‘I Love You’.
McCubbin’s release schedule includes a performance at the Grand Ole Opry on October 18. Additionally, he is slated to appear on 12 support dates for Luke Combs’ 2027 My Kinda Saturday Night Tour, including a stadium show at Ford Field in Detroit on April 17.
