Wydad AC settles financial disputes to lift FIFA transfer ban
Wydad AC has announced the full settlement of all financial disputes that led to an international transfer ban imposed by FIFA. The club's current management stated that these debts resulted from “catastrophic decisions” made by the previous administration under former president Hicham Ait Menna.
The club is now awaiting the completion of administrative procedures to officially lift the ban. Management emphasized that the settlements were achieved through their own efforts without any financial contribution from the former president. However, they noted that this settlement does not absolve the former president of previous commitments made in meetings with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the National Professional Football League.
Reported settlements include payments to Fluminense regarding player Arthur, disputes involving Bouchouari with Rodez AF, Samuel Openg with Casa Pia, and Ayman El Wafi with Swiss club Lugano.
