Wynn Resorts exits online gambling markets in multiple U.S. states
Wynn Resorts has announced its decision to exit the online gambling market in several U.S. states, including Louisiana, Arizona, Indiana, Virginia, New Jersey, Colorado, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
In Pennsylvania, WynnBET has canceled its planned limited release of an online casino. Doug Harbach, Director of Communications for the Pennsylvania Gambling Control Board (PGCB), stated that the company was attempting to meet final regulatory requirements before an audit period. While a WynnBET representative suggested the company was not specifically targeting a Pennsylvania launch, the company has currently no plans to provide online entertainment in the state.
Wynn Resorts CFO Erin Doe indicated that the company decided to exit these markets despite the long-term potential of the iGaming sector.
