Wynonna Judd and Melissa Etheridge tour focuses on grief and healing
Country music star Wynonna Judd and rock veteran Melissa Etheridge are co‑headlining the 27‑date "Raised on Radio" tour that began on June 24 and runs through September. Both artists spoke publicly about personal loss—Judd on the suicide of her mother Naomi Judd and Etheridge on the death of her son Beckett Cypher in 2020—and described the tour as a way to process grief and offer healing to themselves and audiences.
Judd said the experience of performing songs from the 1980s and 1990s helps her connect with fans, while Etheridge highlighted the difficulty of coordinating such a collaboration. Judd will release her first solo studio album in a decade, "The Hard Truth," in October. The performers also urged listeners dealing with mental‑health crises to contact the 988 suicide‑prevention lifeline.
The tour serves both as a concert series and a platform for open conversation about loss, addiction, and recovery.
