Wynonna Judd denies Rosie O’Donnell’s claims of Trump support

Country music star Wynonna Judd has rejected claims made by longtime friend Rosie O’Donnell that she is a supporter of Donald Trump. Judd described the assertion as a “complete assumption,” stating that she is an independent and has never discussed politics with O’Donnell during their decades-long friendship.

The disagreement stems from comments O’Donnell made in August on “The Tangle with Kyle Ridley” podcast, where she suggested Judd was the only Trump supporter she still maintained a personal relationship with. O’Donnell cited Judd’s November 2023 performance at Mar-a-Lago as the basis for her belief.

O’Donnell has since issued an apology, telling People Magazine, “I just thought as she has performed at Mar-a-Lago that she was [a Trump supporter]. I apologize if I was wrong.” Judd expressed shock at the label but noted she was not angry, adding that she has little desire for public drama given current global events.
