Wynonna Judd discusses daughter Grace Kelley’s addiction and legal struggles

Singer Wynonna Judd has spoken candidly about the emotional toll of her daughter Grace Kelley’s long-term struggle with substance abuse and legal issues. Judd revealed that she spent over $500,000 attempting to secure treatment for Kelley and admitted that the constant fear for her daughter’s safety caused her to lose her own sense of self.

Kelley, 30, is currently serving a 15-month sentence in Virginia following a guilty plea related to driving with a suspended or revoked license. During her incarceration, a judge denied Kelley’s request for temporary release to undergo a scheduled C-section in August. Judd noted that she learned of Kelley’s pregnancy through TikTok, as the two had been estranged for approximately a year.

Judd, who adopted Kelley’s four-year-old daughter, Kaliyah, in 2022, expressed that she has had to accept that she cannot save her daughter. The singer’s new album, ‘The Hard Truth’, includes songs that reflect on these personal hardships and the experience of visiting Kelley in prison.
