Wynsors World of Shoes to close 17 UK stores
Wynsors World of Shoes has announced the closure of 17 stores across the United Kingdom. The budget footwear retailer, which operates more than 45 shops nationwide, is currently holding closing-down sales at several locations, with some branches offering discounts of up to 60%.
The closures follow earlier warnings from its private equity owner, Modella Capital, regarding potential job cuts and changes to the company's store estate. Affected locations include stores in Leeds, Sheffield, Wakefield, Bolton, Gateshead, and Sunderland, among others.
This move comes amid a difficult period for the UK high street, as other retailers such as LK Bennett, Quiz, and Leading Labels have also faced administration or liquidation in 2026.
