Wynyard Bus Lines celebrates milestone in Tasmanian operations

Wynyard Bus Lines, a family-owned operator in Tasmania, is celebrating the purchase of its 100th bus. The business was established in 2009 by John and Sue Sherman, who relocated from Melbourne to North-West Tasmania to take over Fenton Buses.

Starting with 14 buses performing school runs, the company expanded its reach through the expertise of John Sherman, a former national operations manager for Dysons. The business grew to include operations in both Tasmania and Darwin, Northern Territory, where it provided services for cruise ships, military runs, and tours in the Nitmiluk Gorge.

Jordyn Sherman, the daughter of the founders and the current sales and Hobart operations manager, noted the company's evolution from a local school run provider to a multi-regional operator.
